Not sure how I missed this before, but here’s a beautiful new track by The Irrepressibles called ‘Arrow’
Apples…I’m Home - ‘Last Week’
I played a gig on Sunday with my friends in Apples…I’m Home. They wanted an extra guitar / 3rd harmony, so up I popped! Here’s a video from the gig. It was in St Paul’s Church, Covent Garden, London—hence the swirly acoustics!

Ahab - ‘Wish You’
Saw these guys supporting Bellowhead recently and I was seriously impressed! Tight harmonies and lovely Americana songs. Definitely worth a listen.

Beautiful track by Christian Hardy from The Leisure Society (a band I love more than this woman loves inanimate objects)
Anyway, listen and love.
Here is a demo of a song I wrote & recorded in 2009 after someone blindsided me.
The violin playing is by my beloved band-mate Mike Siddell and the drumming is my equally beloved band-mate Bas Hankins. The rest is me.
It’s called Don’t Get Swept Away.
I’m still not sure if he did or not.
Beautiful music alert!
Anathema - Sleep In Sanity
Taken from new album - ‘Falling Deeper’ - a collection of orchestral reworkings of some of their earliest songs.
Buy it from Amazon. Totally worth it.
Morning Culture: “Michael Meets Mozart” — Jon Schmidt and Steven Sharp Nelson’s “hip hop/classical mash-up” created using 1 piano and 100 cello tracks.
On the recording, Steven Sharp Nelson laid down over 100 tracks including cello textures never known possible. Every single sound on the video was made using only the instruments shown: piano, cello, mouth percussion and kick drum.

And the award for most beautiful musical find this week goes to…
Jono McCleery - Darkest Light
